U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand Endorses Aaron Gladd for Senate

Senator Gillibrand Applauds Gladd’s Commitment to All New Yorkers

BRUNSWICK, NY – U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) today endorsed Aaron Gladd, candidate for State Senate District 43 and U.S. Army Combat Veteran, citing his strong commitment to hard-working New Yorkers across the state. Gillibrand, a life-long upstate New York native, represented parts of the current NY-43 when she served in Congress from 2007-2009 in New York’s 20th district.

"Aaron’s personal story of pulling himself out of rural poverty, becoming the first in his family to graduate from college and enlisting to serve his country is not only inspirational, but it’s also a testament to the fact that he is a fighter for upstate New York. And just as he has his entire life, I know that Aaron will be ready to fight for his district when he joins the senate this November to represent the 43rd Senate District,” said Senator Gillibrand. “New Yorkers need their representatives that not only understands their concerns but who will also focus on the smart investments and key protections we need to improve the lives of all of our neighbors. Aaron is the right person at the right time”

“I am truly honored to gain the trust and support of Senator Gillibrand who is not only a born-and-raised upstate New Yorker like myself, but has taken that spirit to Washington to do so much for our state and our neighbors,” said Aaron Gladd. “We are lucky to have strong leaders like Senator Gillibrand as our voice in Washington. I will work every day to bring the same determination and dedication to my constituents to Albany.”

With her endorsement, Sen. Gillibrand joins a broad group of supporters, former Republican state Senator Roy McDonald, and various organizations including New Yorker State Nurses Association, New York Public Employees Federation, SEIU1199, and LIUNA-NY.
