“We’ve had too much negativity, and that’s one of the reasons I’m supporting this young man— because of his background, how hard he’s had to work to get here, whether it be working his way through college or serving with the Army in Afghanistan— but most important is the independence that’s needed now and the walk away from the negativity that’s occurred. I think this young man with the combination of experiences he’s had is going to be very good and significant in the state legislature.”
