RWDSU Endorses Aaron Gladd for State Senate
Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union Joins Growing List of Labor Organizations Supporting Aaron Gladd to Fight For Workers in New York State
BRUNSWICK, NY – Aaron Gladd, a U.S. Army Combat Veteran and current candidate for NYS State Senate District 43, has announced today that he has been endorsed by the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU), which has 45,000 members in New York.
“With his record of service and a strong focus on the working men and women of NY-43, Aaron Gladd is well-placed to represent RWDSU members and their concerns in the New York State Senate,”said Stuart Appelbaum, President of the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU). “We are proud to endorse Aaron and know that he will stand with RWDSU members and their families all across the state.”
“Since I embarked on this campaign to represent the 43rd Senate District, I have heard directly from local workers about the issues impacting them, their colleagues, and their neighbors,” said Aaron Gladd. “I’m honored to have the support of RWDSU and stand committed to bringing the concerns of New York’s workers to the Senate.”
Gladd was endorsed earlier this week by the Communications Workers of America. The endorsement RWDSU joins a growing list of recent support including from International Union of Operating Engineers, LIUNA-NY, New York State Nurses Association, 1199SEIU, New York Public Employees Federation (PEF) and the Greater Capital Region Building and Construction Trades Council.
