Congressman Paul Tonko Endorses Aaron Gladd for State Senate

Tonko Endorses Gladd for his years of dedicated public service and his commitment to improving the lives of upstate New Yorkers

BRUNSWICK, NY– Aaron Gladd, candidate for State Senate District 43 and U.S. Army combat veteran, today announced that he has received the endorsement of Congressman Paul D. Tonko (NY-20).

“New Yorkers deserve elected officials who are dedicated to public service and putting everyday, hard-working middle-class families first,” said Congressman Tonko. Through years of selfless service in the United States Army, Aaron Gladd fits that bill. A native of our region, Aaron knows the challenges we face -- especially related to fixing our water infrastructure that protects safe drinking water in our schools, keeps our businesses running, and eliminates main breaks that can shut down small communities.”

“With deep roots in our community and experience in solving the problems that face our neighborhoods, he's ready to serve on day one, and I fully support his ideas-driven campaign for State Senate,” Tonko continued.

Tonko recently appeared on WAMC’s Congressional Corner with Alan Chartok to discuss the clean drinking water epidemic— an issue that is close to the heart for Aaron Gladd and the hearts of thousands of upstate NY residents who currently don’t have access to clean drinking water.

“I’m honored to be endorsed by Congressman Tonko, a man who has done more for upstate New Yorkers in Congress than quite possibly any other representative,” said Aaron Gladd. “I look forward to advancing the causes of sustainable economic development that benefits the prosperity of New Yorkers when I’m elected to the state senate in November.”
