Communications Workers of America Endorses Aaron Gladd for State Senate
Largest Telecommunications Union Joins List of Labor Organizations Supporting Gladd to Fight For Workers Across New York State
BRUNSWICK, NY – Aaron Gladd, candidate for State Senate District 43 and U.S. Army Combat Veteran, today announced that he has been endorsed by the Communications Workers of America – the largest telecommunications union representing 700,000 workers in both the private and public sector in an array of industries across North America.
“We know that Aaron Gladd is the candidate voters need to choose in District 43 that will be able to get things done that are in the best interests of workers,” said Dennis Trainor, Vice President, CWA District 1. “Aaron Gladd’s record of public service and government experience make him the right choice to represent communications workers in the district and across the state. We know he’ll be a strong supporter to working families and the unions that represent them.”
“I am humbled and honored to be endorsed by CWA and other labor unions that represent the best of New York’s workers,” said Aaron Gladd. “Over the past few months I’ve met with businesses and labor unions to hear the concerns they face from providing for their families, job security and affordable health care. I’m dedicated to continuing these conversations and representing the issues that matter most in Albany.”
The CWA endorsement joins the list of major national and local labor groups continuing to back Gladd to support workers across New York State, including the New York League of Conservation Voters, International Union of Operating Engineers, LIUNA-NY, New York State Nurses Association, 1199SEIU, New York Public Employees Federation (PEF) and the Greater Capital Region Building and Construction Trades Council.
